MILAN TRAVEL GUIDE

by - 9:23 AM

Ohh I really whish I could tavel back in time to experience the last week a second time... it was my very first time in Italy and I enjoyed it so so much:)
Have you ever been to Italy?

Me and my friend read quiet a lot of travel guides before we went to Milan and since they helped up a lot with finding amazing food spots and cute neighborhoods, I wanted to share the best places I found in Milan with you aswell!!

Where to stay?
Me and my friend stayed at an Airbnb near the city centre, so we were able to walk basically everywhere. The kitchen was veeery minimalistic, so it was quite hard to cook... but eating out a lot was a good alternative, since there are so so many great italien restaurants in Milan! I guess it depends on how much money you want to spend and how you want your vacation to be like, if you choose a Hotel or an Airbnb, but for us, the small apartement was definitely the right decision:)

What do do?
I personally love to simply stroll through the city and see what the place has to offer, instead of taking the metro and driving from one tourist attraction to another, however me and my friend really enjoyed the visit of the Duomo di Milano, especially the rooftop, and the museo del novecento, which offered a lot of modern art:)
What I can really recommend is to just explore the area around the Duomo di Milano and the navigli neighborhood, where you can find many cute stores and restaurants near the canals!

Where to eat?
If you choose the right places, you can enjoy great italien food for small prices! Many restaurants offer a buffet plus drinks for a small amout of money during the evening, but you can also just go to one of the pizzarias and get a really really good pizza for 6-9 euros.
During the first evening we went to Primitata Pizzaria, which is directly near the water in the navigli neighborhood! Diagonally opposite you can find the sofa bar, where my friend and me went seriously three times during our four day stay in Milan, because the coffee and the cocktails where amazing and the place in generally very cozy!!
Furthermore I can suggest grapping an icecream from Amorino or a smoothie bowl from Frankie´s!

That´s it! I really hope I could inspire you with this post:) If you´ve ever been to Milan, let me know what you enjoyed most about your travel in the comments!
Love, Alina

  10. I & my wife recently got our Italy Visa UK and were looking for a travel guide that will help us navigate Venice, Rome & Milan. Although I got one for Rome, I recently came across your post and it aptly describes the best places to stay and things to do in Italy. I will be sharing this blog with my wife and then we will finalize our accommodation and places to visit in Milan. Keep sharing such helpful posts.
